Well, my ankle's still giving me problems It's ok if I wrap it, so as you can see in pic Ankle's wrapped, shoes tied and off I go.... It was a S L O W run but a run nonetheless! Can I blame it on it being an evening run instead of morning run and my ankle? Nah, no blame here other than myself... How do you motivate yourself?
How do you get yourself out of bed when you don't feel like it? What motivates you to get up, lace up your running shoes and hit the sidewalk (or trail or track, whatever)? Yesterday was an exhausting day so when 5:25 rolled around this morning, I honestly did not want to get out of bed and go run. For those who don't know, I wake up on my own usually by 5:45 … [Read more...] about How do you motivate yourself?
Walked today – messed up foot – running shoe suggestions?
Well, this morning I only walked :( I did something to my foot and it's bothering me, so running was out of the question. Walking was less than comfortable but manageable! I'm going to blame it on my shoes! On the left, my trusty well worn Nike Zoom running shoes (which they apparently don't even make this exact style anymore) On the right, an obviously nearly new … [Read more...] about Walked today – messed up foot – running shoe suggestions?
Wogging/Wunning/Running?
I'm not quite sure what I'd call what I was doing this morning! It was somewhere inbetween a walk/jog=wogging? in the beginning the middle was actual running and towards the end it was more a walk/run=wunning? Not sure what I was doing...obviously. But at least I was out there doing...for 2.56 miles I messed up on my leaving time though and ended up back at starting … [Read more...] about Wogging/Wunning/Running?

I want to participate in Joggermom Marathon 2011, but can't (at least not at this very moment) I need Garmin, Polar or Nike+ to prove my running mileage and I don't have any of those things. I have until the end of the month. The marathon starts on May 1st. Anyone know where I can get any of those for a really great price or does anyone want to donate (ie: give) to … [Read more...] about Joggermom Marathon 2011
Laced up the running shoes
Well this morning I laced up my old running shoes, like I said I would. I kinda jog/ran/walked/sprinted the 2.56 miles but I did it! Now, I have no problems walking for miles, miles and hours on end. I love to walk, check out different things around me and just enjoy 'getting away'. Running is totally different. Flashback to 30 years ago (yep, that long ago!) I … [Read more...] about Laced up the running shoes

Run the race
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. ~~ Hebrews 12:1 Are you running the race? Are you keeping your eye on the finish line and going for the prize? I used to be … [Read more...] about Run the race
