This week’s Fitspo Friday Feature is Lisa a/k/a WorkoutMommy
Q: Have you always lived a healthy fit lifestyle?
No, not at all. I grew up hating exercise and spent my time in college eating pizza and drinking beer.
Needless to say I gained way more than the freshman 15!
It was my desire to lose a few pounds before my honeymoon that inspired my love of fitness and I have never looked back!
Q: What keeps you going, motivated?
The feeling that I have AFTER a workout.
Now that I am a mom to 4 little boys, I need the workout more for my sanity than anything else.
It’s my time to de-stress and make myself feel (somewhat) sane again!
Q: What is your favorite workout?
kettlebells and running. Or maybe running and kettlebells. ๐
Q: What are some of your goals?
Quality for Boston Marathon and to be able to do 5 unassisted pull ups.
Q: What are some of your accomplishments or things you’re proud of?
I’ve run a lot of races, including 3 marathons. I also became a certified (HKC) kettlebell instructor in 2011.
Q: What is one random fact we should know about you?
I am the youngest of 8 kids.
Q: What words of advice would you like to leave the readers?
Exercise should be FUN! Find an exercise or sport that you love and do it well.
And of course, never underestimate the power of a workout! ๐
