Ok, so yesterday I gave into temptation and I’ll blame a rough day on it…
I really wanted Ressee’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups…
I had to go to Walgreen’s anyhow so grabbed some on way out.
Got home, opened it up to major disappointment.
See I screwed up, I was in such a rush that I didn’t do the touch test first.
Yes, I smoosh the tops of peanut butter cups through the package to make sure they’re soft or not.
This time I didn’t…
I just wanted them!
Live and learn!
Opened up the package to this…
discolored chocolate (which is really the fat content separating from the rest of it) and then bit into it
and dry crumbly peanut butter filling
huge FAIL!
anyone who’s a connoisseur of peanut butter cups will understand my disappointment!
So, they ended up in the trash.
See, if I’m going to eat something (even if it’s not good for me) I’m going to make sure I enjoy it and not eat something substandard and these cups were beyond substandard!
Now, had I had my chocolate Shakeology already I could’ve mixed that with some ice and peanut butter and that would’ve appeased the peanut butter chocolate craving I had!
So, from now on I’ll just do that…
healthier and better for me anyhow.
At first I was frustrated pissed off that the peanut butter cups were funky but it worked out, saved myself from consuming something like 220 calories of nothing-ness
Question of the day
What do you crave that’s not exactly good for you?
Stephanie Robbins says
First I do a yoga headstand or a run if I can swing it. 99% of the time this works. Not sure why the headstand works but it does for me. LOL If I am still craving it, I go for it. Life is too short to not enjoy a treat every once in a while. I went camping this weekend and had a smore….it was worth it ๐ Trick is I just had one for the whole weekend. Old me would have had several by the end of the camping trip. This way I wasn’t glaring at my children while they ate theirs LOL
