Yep, that’s right…
I ran…even though I did.not.want.to…at all.
But, I did.
I’ve had a lot of nonsense going on lately and while part of me just wanted to clean the house, veg to a movie, do nothing…
I knew I had to lace up my Keen’s and get running.
It was a slow run more like a wog perhaps it was in fact a wog in parts but I did it & got in my time…
escaped reality for 32.12 minutes
And, now I can get on with tasks at hand for the rest of the afternoon, til I pick up Christa from the ex.
Part of me, who am I kidding all of me, wishes I had a stand up punching bag still because that’d be the ultimate follow up when running doesn’t give me a total escape.
One of these days I’ll either get a gig to review one (hint hint to any company who offers these!) or I’ll give in and buy my own.
Question of the day
How do you escape?

no doubt running is my peace. I also can get lost in a really good book!

By power walking with my puppy! Watching her play and romp will add a burst of love, energy, pep to any day. Forget my troubles, come on be happy! (a song)

I love to strength train to escape. My heart rate and breathe isn’t out of control (like I feel it is when I run), and I can focus on one little (or big) muscle all about me :p.

Running can be SO therapeutic! I had my own little treadmill therapy session this morning 🙂

Just like you, I get away by running. I usually run on my lunch hour.
