It’s Fitness Friday and today’s topic…
weekends!
Everyone lives for the weekend it seems.
They’ve put in their time at work and come Friday at 5, it’s time to let loose and enjoy life.
But, the weekend can wreck havoc on your fitness and healthy (unless you’re one of the rare ones who actually is more dedicated on weekends because you have more you time to eat properly and workout).
Weekends consist of parties, family functions, football, beach, eating out and relaxing.
You can say No to the extra drink, the appetizers, the becoming a couch potato all weekend.
When tempted, ask yourself if it’s worth it….
do you really want to run that extra mile or two to make up for a every hundred or so calories you consume (be it food or drink!)
You’ve worked out all week long, eaten healthy and then the weekend comes…
is it worth it to blow all the hard work and effort you put in?
Stay strong and focused…
every day of the week.
Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t splurge or let loose every now and then but it shouldn’t be a weekend long deal!
It’s all about balance–calories in vs calories expended.
So, get up…get moving and eat healthy this weekend!

Hi Tara! I used to totally wreck all my weekday progress with weekend eating shenanigans. It took a looong time, many many tries of trying to get it right. The best thing I do now is plan my weekend eating as well. Not flying by my pants anymore. Sure, greedy stuff comes up, but for the most part, weekend planning works out because I put that expectation on myself instead of getting too comfortable.
