Whether you’re jogging, or running…
short distance or long…
Jogging is very beneficial.
It’s good for your legs and your feet.
It’s also very good for the ground.
It makes it feel needed.
~Charles Schulz, Peanuts
Here are some quick running tips for you:
Wear good running shoes.
Women, make sure to get a good sports bra too.
If you’re a new runner, don’t worry about how many miles you can go…just run what you can, gradually increasing time and then deal with distance and speed.
Warm up & stretch prior to running.
Stay hydrated…drink water!
Maintain a healthy diet as well.
Listen to your body.
Be consistent — consistency on a day to day basis is more important than logging in big mileage on rare occasions.
Focus on your goals, not what anyone else is doing.
I always loved running…
it was something you could do by yourself, and under your own power.
You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted,
fighting the wind if you felt like it,
seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet
and the courage of your lungs.
~Jesse Owens
