With the amount of insanity & chaos I’ve been dealing with the past few days I figured it was time for a quick post a talking to myself to include
some tips on balancing healthy body, mind & soul.
Some tips for helping you balance body, mind and soul.
Reminder that Balance means different things to different people…
What seems like balance to me can be and probably is, totally different than most people.
So, do what feels right in your life and what helps create a sense of balance to you.
~ Eat & drink healthy foods…can’t have a healthy body if you don’t give it healthy fuel
Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live. ~Jim Rohn
~ Exercise, strength train…get your body moving!
~ Yoga always helps me…
~ Try to learn something new every day. Keeping the mind active helps guard against alzheimers in later years, memory loss and hey it’s always great to learn something.
~ Think positive thoughts. Yes, it can be difficult at times…but do it! Negative thoughts aren’t going to help you any so make a conscious effort to focus on the positive.
~ Make sure to get sleep…(hard one for me, as my brain keeps going & going & going–some people find taking melatonin helpful with restful sleep.
~ Spend time in meditation or prayer, The Word. If you say you don’t have time to go to church, check out churches that offer online service. I love Potential Church…it’s local to me yet, I usually end up watching online since I can be sweaty from a workout and nobody sees me!
~ Take a break from your daily activities and get outside! Nature and fresh air do the body, mind and soul good!
~ Surround yourself with people who support you and lift you up…avoid the ones who try to demean you, put you down.
~ Journal – getting your thoughts & feelings down on paper helps.
Diseases of the soul are more dangerous and more numerous than those of the body.
~Cicero
If you need help with stress relief, inspiration or wellness coaching consider hiring a coach to help you on the journey.
And, now I’ve got a sick dog, sick teen to get to dr’s and get some work done….
So…have a most awesome balanced day.
