Yes, because of my daughter I now have to iron clothes!
Egads!!!!
Life as I know it is now over 🙁
I have always prided myself on the fact that I’ve never had to iron anything…
I’m 2 months shy of being 44 and haven’t had to own an ironing board…til now.
Why do the majority of Christa’s clothes have to be ironed? WHY?!
So, what used to be my yoga space (formerly known as the dining area-but that’s what the desk & couch are for right?)
Where I could go to relax…
is now being overtaken by this…
This is wrong on so many levels!
While I’m domesticated in the fact that I love to bake and cook and keep my place clean, I have never felt the need to iron (REALLY does one need to iron tank tops and yoga pants?!NO!)
Alas, for the love of my daughter Christa, I am taking the leap in to June Cleaver-ism and will iron…
Because.I.Love.Her.That.Much.
But really, if it weren’t for Christa, would I need to iron? No!
Not for me, I’m goin to be the one driving around in a VW Vanagon traveling the states and blogging as I go…who has room (or desire) to iron clothes…
Live in tank tops, cargo shorts, yoga pants & crinkly hippie peasant skirts!
No iron needed!
So, if there are no tweets or updates on FB tonight, it’s safe to assume I either
a)burnt the condo down
b)burnt my hand and can’t type
c)curled up in the fetal position and am not coming out til the universe is right again
Question of the day
Am I the only one who’s never ironed?
Do you iron?
WHY?!
Shelley (@momma_oz) says
I absolutely , Positively, without a shadow of a doubt, do NOT iron. I hang wrinkled clothes in the steamy bathroom while I shower and call it done. if something HAS to be ironed, I take it to the cleaners and call it done 🙂
Elle says
Is she old enough to iron her own clothes and in her own room?
🙂
Tara Burner says
I’m with you Shelley!!! I’ve never ironed…til now!
Tara Burner says
Yea ummm Elle, that’s not goin to happen…
I consider it lucky that I get clothes moved from dryer to couch then eventually to her room!
least I can fold this ‘thing’ up and stash it somewhere but ironing in my yoga space seems sooooo ‘not right’ lol
Alycia says
I dont even own an iron! I refuse to buy anything that might need ironing. And if something is wrinkly, I just hang it in the bathroom while I shower.

Vicki says
My ex always wanted his pants ironed with a crease down the front of each leg, and his shirts sleeves with a crease down the side. When I got rid of him I got rid of my ironing board.
