Somehow people think that coaches, trainers and the like never lose control blow it.
Well, they (I) do! and did 🙁
I just bought some nuts and lots of them and needless to say I also ate lots of them too…combined with some really scrumptious, tempting, sinful healthy organic dark chocolate candy. (I’d take a pic but ummmm they’re all gone now).
But, I may have looked something like this:
I threw everything I know out the window! 🙁
Ironically, I had recently posted about intuitive (conscious) eating, had blogged about is blowing it really worth it, and yet what did I do? I blew it!
Why?
Extremely rough, emotional day(s) added up and finally I caved.
Proof that coaches, trainers do have off days and can lose control (at least temporarily)…
the difference is, we regain control and get back with our normally scheduled lives and eat properly, learn from the fall.
I could have avoided this whole stomach wrenching mishap had I:
not had all the nuts and chocolate in the house! (note: ok to keep a small portion of things around but not pounds of nuts and pound of dark chocolate!)
gone for a run or rode my bike or done anything other than eat all that.
not let my emotions get the best (or in this case worse) of me.
Now mind you, in my case it wasn’t junk food per say (well okay, the dark chocolate technically is junk food with some health benefits) and nuts are healthy but everything in moderation!
Consequences of my actions:
My stomach and body waged war on me for the last 36 hours or so.
I set myself back a bit further when the right direction is forward not backward.
It did not help the situations that were getting me all emotional to begin with-actually just worsened them because then I had to deal with my body and stomach revolting against me as well as my emotions.
So, now my stomach and I seem to be on speaking terms again and am back on course again!
If you lose control and indulge, that’s ok…
when you’re done, get back on target and do what you’ve got to do to obtain your goals!
Don’t beat yourself up because that leads to the vicious cycle of binge, emotional upset which then drives you to binge again.
Just because you blow it does not mean you failed.
You had a temporary set back, now MOVE.ON.
Get up the next morning and start fresh and new!
You.Will.Be.Okay.
And, if you feel you need support or guidance, you can always hire a coach who will be there for you and guide you, hold you up, push you in the right direction.

Damn woman and here I thought you were perfect! 😉 But it is refreshing to see that you lose it too, makes you more human.

I have come to believe that is no such thing as a moving backwards…sure, it might not FEEL like progress, but there’s a lesson in every binge. Sometimes we need to learn our lessons more than once every time it seems like we’re repeating the same mistake, we’re actually repeating it from a different perspective…and so what we learn is different than the last time. As I like to say, it’s not about never again, it’s about catching ourselves sooner!

So true…technically not backwards since we usually learn something (even I did) great point!
