Since I’ve started running again and have plans on training for a half marathon this was the ideal time to do a review of Pro-Tec Athletics roller massager and LiquiCell Blister Protectors.
Fortunately, perhaps compliments of my new Brooks running shoes, I haven’t developed any blisters. However, when I start doing longer distances I’ll be using the blister protectors because I don’t want to take a chance and blisters can destroy one while running. I’ll be putting in training time for a half marathon and will refuse to be defeated by something like blisters!
Sounds like I can avoid painful blisters using these!
Product info:Advanced liquid technology protects skin from rubbing and friction, protecting against blisters, hot spots, abrasions, and bunions.
How It Works: LiquiCell’ is a blister created so you don’t have to go through the pain of having your body make one. The liquid in a LiquiCell’ Bandage circulates and moves in all directions so your skin doesn’t. With easy to use and completely safe peel and stick application, LiquiCell’ Blister Bands provide the ultimate skin protection.
I got lots of use out of the roller massager. I have issues with my calf muscles tightening up and this was perfect for alleviating pain there!
(of course I’m wearing my favorite Alo Clothing outfit!)
This roller massager is so easy to use and effective too.
It helps with deep tissue stimulation making for maximum muscle performance.
The ends are rounded grips and can be used for trigger point release.
It comes with a guide showing you 20 massage and trigger point methods that you can use to help with various parts of your body and particular muscle groups and trigger points.
I used the roller massager mostly for calves and lower back pain which I’ve had for awhile now and often times makes it harder to function and run, etc.
Using the massager I was loose enough and stretched out that I haven’t had the pain I normally experience.
The raised Vynafoam sections “sink” into your soft tissue to roll out tightness and I’ll tell you, it feels wonderful!
You can also easily use the roller massager for hamstrings, forearm, upper arm, shoulder & neck, shin splints, quads, back.
It’s also great for IT Band Syndrome.
Overall it can be used to help improve muscle flexibility, increase range of motion, reduce pain, stimulate circulation.
I know I’m benefiting from using it and am sure it will get lots of usage by me for a long time to come.
