Accountability: the state of being accountable (explain, or justify something; responsible; answerable), liable, or answerable.
This is just going to touch briefly on how we are accountable for our actions….
be it whether we workout or exercise or sit on the couch or glued to the keyboard doing nothing to what we eat and how much of it we eat.
note: it can also make your tomorrow’s worse-depending on what action you take today! Be accountable for your actions-make the right choices!
Sadly, in the news I’ve been reading more and more about people who would rather sue a company that to accept the fact that they’re not being accountable for their actions.
Yes, I know that food companies and fast food restaurants can be deceiving and use ploys, hide information, pack chemicals and additives into their products…but, who’s forcing you to consume those products?
I know that if I eat too much, I’m going to gain weight.
Ditto if I don’t exercise, I’m going to get out of shape.
I have nobody to blame but myself when I make the choices that lead to where I am today.
Now, this isn’t to say that there are people who do have medical/health reasons and obviously those are out of their control.
I’m talking about being accountable for actions that you can be held accountable for.
Don’t blame others (be it a person, or a company, establishment) for things that you have done or haven’t done.
-One of the easiest ways to be accountable is to have a friend or coach –Being accountable to a coach is an excellent way to ensure success in your weight loss and/or fitness progress.
-You can also journal, or blog (a lot of people blog about their progress, actions on a daily basis to see what they have achieved, where they need work).
-Enlist the aid of others on social networks (Twitter and Facebook are great resources in connecting with others and finding tribes that will help you along your journey).
Don’t forget, while on your path of accountability, you may stumble but you can get up, brush yourself off and keep going!
Question of the day:
What area(s) of your life/diet/fitness do you need accountability help in?

That’s why I have U! If I wasn’t having to report into you I probably wouldn’t be eating better or getting my arse off the sofa ๐
