I’m going to start this off with one word YUM!
I recently received Peanut Butter Granola from NutsAboutGranola.com and it was above and beyond what I had expected.
I do have to admit I was excited as I saw the envelope in the mail with the label.
I mean c’mon how could anyone not get excited about this! You’d have to be nuts if the thought of fresh made granola in your mailbox didn’t start your day off right!
I love the fact that Nuts About Granola is all natural and uses local ingredients.
They’re located in my home state of Pennsylvania, and are a mother daughter team who have earned the “PA Preferred” seal by from Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for their granola.
I totally appreciate any company that uses natural ingredients and an added bonus, they use local ingredients found in the Pennsylvania farm belt.
Additionally, besides them being granola fanatics, they are huge supporters of the Buy Fresh, Buy Local movement.
Nuts About Granola! was also featured twice on Rachael Ray Show as the snack of the day, Sept 28, 2009 and Dec. 8, 2009
This morning (thursday), I had a handful in a small bowl and just ate it straight like that.
It was filling and in every bite you could taste the rich peanut butter.
This has to be one of the most fulfilling granola’s I’ve had.
Every mouthful was a scrumptious delight and was ideal for a pre-workout boost.
Nuts About Granola! is some seriously good granola!
The flavor and texture were spot on…not overly chewy nor crunchy…perfect!
I didn’t eat all of it before my morning workout, so what was I to do with the rest?
Ahhhh, get creative.
What would you do if you had yummy natural peanut butter granola, a banana and some dark chocolate?
You got it!
I melted the dark chocolate, covered the banana with it and rolled it in the remaining Plain Jane Peanut Butter Granola.
These were the perfect treat after my bike ride this evening.
It was a tantalizing combination of cold creamy banana, dark chocolate and yummy chewy yet crunchy peanut butter granola.
A delight for this palate that’s for sure.
You can find Nuts About Granola! on Twitter and Facebook.
I’d strongly suggest checking out some of the independent food marts and specialty stores in Pennsylvania where you can buy Nuts About Granola! or order online!
