Wait means to look forward to eagerly but it also can mean to remain inactive or in a state of repose, as until something expected happens according to dictionary.com.
I don’t like the “remain inactive” part of that last definition!
While I don’t necessarily like that part of “wait”, sometimes it’s and important factor.
I personally, have been working on a huge project for over a year now…it’s drawn out in my head, made a rough sketch to paper and have preliminary details, figures.
Now all I need to do is get papers drawn up, figures and get investors and the waiting will be over and the project will be able to commence.
Then more waiting…waiting for buildings to be built, pools to be built, gardens to be created…you get the idea.
Then waiting for opening day…
There are different stages of ‘waiting’.
I like the first definition “look forward to eagerly”.
That’s what I’m doing!
It’s hard, oh trust me, it’s hard but I’m standing on scripture and waiting…
Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. ~~ Isaiah 30:18
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. ~~ Isaiah 40:31
So, I wait…not staying inactive though, but preparing, praying, working on what needs to be done while I wait.
This is not an easy task…waiting…I want this project to become reality now, but will do my best to wait…knowing its’ time is coming.
What are YOU waiting for?
Are you staying active while going through the waiting?

I wish more people would write blogs like this that are really fun to read. With all the fluff floating around on the net, it is rare to read a blog like this instead.
