Sorry this is being posted at the tail end of Monday…
better late than not at all right?!
A lot has been going on the last week and this is going to be a crazed week as well as stinking “Irene” looms about.
My apologies for all the racing analogies and pics, I blame Hendry Racing (you should ‘like’ them though)
But, it’s given me some great insight to life and what our driving forces are.
Some people are driven by jealousy, desire to improve, hope, ambition, desire to prove someone wrong, an act of self accomplishmemt…
Whatever drives you in life, you need to control it, harness it and use it to the best you can and drive towards the finish line.
In life there are going to be times that go smoothly like on the straight away.
Going as fast as you can, possibly drafting at times, and getting ahead of as many people as you can.
Other phases of your life you’re going to crash into things (people, situations, problems)
You’re going to have to just keep pushing through the debris until you’re cleared to go again.
Occasionally you’ll need to make pit stops.
These can be planned, other times they’re brought on unexpectedly.
They can be a relationship, work/career, set backs, change.
You’ll survive.
You’ll re-fuel, change a few parts and get back on the track again.
Finally, the almighty checkered flag!
You can see it ahead of you, and you focus on it and it alone.
You’ll put out all stops to get there first.
Energy and drive you didn’t know you possessed will come to the surface and you’ll do all you can to win.
Question of the day:
What’s your driving force?
Do you like racing?
Margie says
I like watching races Tara. NASCAR is too noisy for me but I like other races better. My driving force is to provide for my children and teach them how to do enjoy life and go for their dreams.
