Yes I went there…
Some will say that we shouldn’t use anger as a motivator or driving force.
I say (at least in this very moment)…why not?
Get pissed off & do something!
You don’t like a certain policy or something political…get angry and do something! People may end up in legal problems this way but hey shit happens. But on a serious tone now, if you do happen to end up somewhere and you need help from lawyer then contact Edwards & Patterson Law.
You don’t like how much you weight…get angry and do something!
You don’t like that you can’t run or lift as much as you used to…get angry and do something!
You’ve been mistreated, abused, hurt…get angry and do something!
*Disclaimer #1*
When I say ‘do something’ that means something that will change or better the situation or you not something as in something that would harm someone or is illegal!
*Disclaimer #2*
For those who will respond (or want to but won’t) about how the Bible says not to be angry.
Ummmmmm that’s not what the Word says…
Psalm 4:4
Be angry, and do not sin
Key part would be the do not sin part which is what Disclaimer #1 covered!
*Disclaimer #3*
As we all have read the quote from Buddha I’m sure before seeing it here…
But, read it closing!
Holding on to…
If you’re using anger as a motivator, you’re not holding on to it!
You’re using it to motivate you, drive you and getting rid of it by your actions!
I asked the question on Twitter how many have used anger as a motivator.
Here’s a good response that goes along with the quote below it!
“When one has been angry for a very long time, one gets used to it. And it becomes comfortable, like… like old leather. And finally… becomes so familiar that one can’t ever remember feeling any other way.”
— Jean-Luc Picard
Some say that anger is the cowards way of dealing with someone or something that’s hurt you instead of telling that person(s).
Well possibly maybe perhaps that is partially true.
But, if you aren’t able to tell that person(s) of your feelings in a way that wouldn’t create more hurt why bother?
Why not use that anger to drive you to improve whatever area of your life you want and know that you can do it on your own.
“Kind words are spoken from the heart. Angry words are spoken from the hurt.”
— Susan Gale
Life’s too short to hold on to anger, grudges and remain upset.
So get rid of the anger…use it…be done with it.
Get on and LIVE & THRIVE.
With that said, a new & improved version of a former Tara is in the works (don’t you hate when people talk in the third person!)
So, rephrase…
I’m pissed off, I’m angry and I’m using that to bring back some parts of me and combining them and some goals I have to make a new & improved ME!
Question of the day
Have you ever used anger or hurt as a motivating factor?
Coco says
I think this is a good message. Sometimes anger is righteous, and you can use that energy to fuel change.
Did you see my post about the Freedom riders:

One thing that really stuck in my mind is when Helen Singleton said “Think of an injustice that pisses you off, and focus your energy there.”
You can be motivated by anger to work for social justice, or you can be motivated by anger to do something to improve your own situation or your own health. You can turn that negative into positive instead of letting it fester.
