What exactly does reinvent mean?
to remake or make over, as in a different form
to bring back; revive
Me, personally I’ll take the second part of the definition to bring back; revive
I don’t want to totally remake myself.
I like myself.
I got away from who I was and what I was about for awhile…
I’m bringing that part of me back now though!
And, quite simply I’m going to be ME!
Not going to try to fit in the cliques and be one of the popular girls
*having flash backs to Mean Girls*
(besides I already am popular with the people that it really matters)
Yet, I’m also molding other areas of my life so I suppose in a way I am reinventing myself.
An improved Tara?
5 Steps to Reinvent Yourself
1) Do you REALLY need to reinvent yourself?
Reinventing yourself is basically creating a new identity…
a new you.
2) Think about what who you are right now.
Does that person need reinvented?
3) List the positive aspects of who you are or who you want to be.
Focus on those.
4) Take action steps to become who you want to be.
Where do you want to go and how do you plan on getting there?
Make sure you know what you need to do and how you plan on achieving it.
5) Evaluate the reinvented you.
Are you happier now than you were before?
If you’re not…then you didn’t need to reinvent yourself!
Not everyone needs to, or should!
Be happy being YOU!
Reinventing yourself is hard (and UNNECESSARY) when you were perfectly happy with who you were before
So make sure to refer back to #1 before doing anything else!

Great points— it is definitely a hard journey. I have not reinvented myself but am definitely reinventing the parts of my life that fuel me as I change careers and focus on a me that is doing new and different things.

I think having a plan in your head of where and who would you like to see yourself in 5-10 years is a good idea.
