OMG this is enlightening.
I was just reading Positively Green Magazine and read about John Cusack and this site at 3trillion.org where you can spend $3Trillion on whatever you want. Like the magazine article says, it’s harder to do than you think but yet George Bush did…it’s the projected cost of the Iraq war according to Nobel Prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and Harvard lecturer Linda Bilmes.
The article continues to show how John Cusack switched the nation over to solar energy, provided universal healthcare for all Americans, ended world hunger totally in one year, started a sustainable agriculture system worldwide, gave good and vet care to low income pet owners and gave every home in America broadband internet & he only spent $1.6 trillion to do all that!
Stop by 3trillion.org and see what you’d do with that much money…
Would you do something constructive like John Cusack or
throw it in the wind and do something totally selfish or
would you blow it all on one illegal occupation of a country like the article states…
Beverly Mahone says
Tara,
First of all, let me say I enjoy reading your thoughts—and I’m glad we’re connected.
As far as 3tillion dollars goes, I would get a kick out of traveling around the world with a group of my closest friends and wiping out hunger, disease, poverty, aids, etc.
Then I would give everyone enough to take their “dream vacation” for two weeks and then given them an annual salary to live on.
I would have NO PROBLEM spending 3trillion.
