Today’s Fitness Friday (ok so it’s almost not Friday but I still have 90 mins to get this posted!) is about burpees.
If you’re doing RevAbs in Phase 1 in the Spice Round we actually do burpees.
Great strength training and aerobic workout, and you don’t need any equipment so these can be done anywhere!
Burpees basically combine a squat, push-up, and vertical leap.
Here are the 5 basic steps to doing a burpee:
1. Begin in standing position.
2. Drop into a squat position with your hands on the ground.
3. Kick your feet back while lowering yourself doing a push-up.
4. Return your feet to the squat position while straightening your arms.
5. Leap up as high as possible from the squat position with your arms overhead.
