I figured I’d stick with the whole wet theme of today and discuss water.
First, how much water should you have daily?
Check out these charts for some ballpark ideas on how much you need based on weight.
Tips on how to make drinking water easier:
-the obvious, have a reusable water bottle with you at all times so you can sip throughout the day
-while at work (I say at work since most people work 8 hour days) drink have a glass every hour and a half and a large percentage of your daily intake will be done (of course this works best if you can get to the bathroom a lot during the day as well!)
-add True Citrus to your water for a refreshing fruity natural flavored water
-after going pee (ok I so cannot say tinkle or any other cute word), drink another glass of water–replenish what you just let go of
-drink water infused with fruit (ck. out this cool infusion jug)
-sign up for the Brita Challenge (contests seem to make doing things easier, gives you extra incentive-as if better health & hydration wasn’t enough)
Benefits of drinking water
-Water helps to eliminate toxins, detoxifies body
-Hydrates the body (did you know your brain is 90% water!? and muscles 75% and blood 83%)
-Helps with metabolism
-Regulates body temperature
-Protects & moisturizes our joints
-Natural remedy for headaches since every cell needs water, if you’re dehydrated you’re more prone to headaches
-Helps with digestion
-Helps you lose weight- reduces hunger, acting as an effective appetite suppressant so you’ll eat less. Water has zero calories
See how a previous water hater started drinking water and liking it.
Question of the day
How much water do YOU drink?
Do you like water?

All I drink is water. I tried to go by the 8 cups rule, but it totally interrupted my life. I was peeing literally every 10 minutes. So I altered it a little and I’m doing great! I still have days where I slack (errr, like today) but overall, water is one of the most powerful tool in my health & fitness arsenal!

I drink water and fresh squeezed juice I make, fruit infused water…
no soda, no tea, no coffee
and yea the 8 cup rule doesnt apply to everyone.
I probably drink more than that on some days, less on others
and yes totally water is powerful for our health/fitness!
you rock!

OK – GREAT TIPS!
And believe me…. if I can do it – anyone can!!!!
Plus, might I add, I think lack of water makes me grumpy…
Seriously – I really think it affects my mood!
Or at least that’s what I tell myself because it’s nicer than thinking I’m a perpetual hag 🙂
Thanks so much Tara!

Hello
Extremely good post about water and drinking water. Thank you. Many people do not believe that something as simple as drinking enough water will help them to feel much better. My suggestion – believe what is written here and start drinking water.
