I’m considering doing the beginner course next year (oppps just missed it here in Miami). I may or may not have planned it this way!
From beginner trail racers and mud run participants to hardcore warriors, tough guys and marathon runners, they all come out to test themselves on the insane obstacle races! 99.9% of all people who try this event will finish, and 100% will have their thirst for mud & trail racing fully satisfied!
Spartan Race provides its participants with a daily workout, a weekly newsletter, and inspiring blogs that will help you get from the couch to the finish line within 45 days. It really is as simple as signing up, showing up, and never ever giving up. So I should in theory be able to take this on next year!
I’m sure it’ll be rough and tough, but if I follow the plan and daily tips I should be able to bring out the warrior in me.
The pics I’ve seen and the stories I’ve heard make it look like a blast, yet challenging so I’ll give it a try and see if I can bring out my inner Spartan (not sure if Xena was a Spartan –anyone remember that show?– but maybe if I think that by doing this I’ll be strong & sexy like her, I’ll be able to survive and thrive at the Spartan Race).

I’d rather do almost anything than do a race like this! It sounds distinctly uncomfortable. But then, I am a group fitness person, not a runner. I only like to walk outdoors, not do something that’s like camping, but faster. Gahhhh.
