If you like British food and atmosphere you have to visit The Pub in Shops of Pembroke Gardens.
Christa was happy to try it out!
(this was last week prior to all the oral surgery drama)
The atmosphere is most awesome.
The servers are all in kilts! Yep you read that right!
And, friendly & fast too.
There’s indoor and outside seating (it was cold last week so we sat inside, though Christa would’ve preferred outside).
There’s a bar that was pretty busy but obviously we took a booth.
It was busy and this was after normal dinner hours and during the week.
I know I’ve seen The Pub on weekends and it’s been packed!
We started off with Spinach & Artichoke dip with pita slices.
This was so.danged.good.
It was the perfect blend of cheeses, and loaded with spinach and artichokes with most awesome pita wedges.
Blended with Guinness, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Served with toasted pita wedges.
and of course fish n chips had to be had!
Christa’s jaw about dropped when they served her this.
One huge piece of fish.
It was cooked perfectly and wasn’t all greasy/oily.
The fish was light yet filling.
We were going to try the fried pickles, decided we’ll save that for another time.
I don’t drink but wow if I did…
I don’t even know how many different brews and drinks they had on the menu…lots!
So, if you haven’t been…GO!
For now this is the closest Christa & I are getting to England. ๐
