There’s a difference between being negative and being realistic.
The sayings say that you should look for and see the good in all things…
sorry, there isn’t always good in all things…
or people for that matter.
So, calling a spade a spade is being realistic even though it may be a negative.
Some people and some situations simply are not positive and no possible way to put a positive spin on it other than as an example of someone or something you don’t want to deal with or be like or get screwed over by.
As much as it’d be a wonderful thing to be positive all the time, it’s not realistic.
I know people who truly try to see the good in people and sadly sometimes like I said, there is no good to be found…
and ultimately if someone who’s realistic doesn’t step in the seeker of good in all gets screwed over by the other person.
I’m not saying be negative or a cynic all the time…
but, be open to accept what’s real vs what you’d like from a situation/person…
protect yourself and your best interest by being realistic…
