Earlier today on Facebook, I posted Good habits are as easy to form as bad ones- Tim McCarver
Some agreed, some didn’t.
Good habits can include anything from being nice, eating healthy, taking care of yourself, helping others, exercising, donating your time/energy to charities, praising God, working, to living an environmentally friendly lifestyle to well…anything that’s beneficial in a ‘healthy’ way.
Bad habits could include things like excessive drinking, excessive gambling, smoking, illegal drugs, being abusive (to yourself or someone else), being hateful, procrastinating, being lazy or inactive, not taking care of yourself, eating junk food and foods that aren’t healthy, being stressed, watching too much T.V, wasting money…and basically anything that’s not ‘healthy’ for you or the people around you.
It takes courage on a daily basis to overcome and break ‘bad habits’, just as it takes courage to work on your good habits. Every day, you have to take it step by step. If you fall, get up and start over again.
It’s a discipline you’ll have to learn and continue to put into affect every day so you don’t give in to the temptations of your former bad habits. But I know you can do it!.
If you break it down, it takes the same amount of energy to work on good habits as it does to cave to the impulse of the bad habits.
In the end, you’ll enjoy the benefits of the good habits formed over the bad impulses that can affect you daily.
Wouldn’t you rather be full of energy, vigor, life, blessings, good health, friends, happiness, bliss, joy over feeling run down, mad at the world, lazy, upset, depressed.
If you need help, seek coaching or other methods of help, a fitness coach, or work out assistance, or it could be something like speaking to friends, pastor, someone you can be accountable to, an ebook, a course…whatever method you believe will help you. You CAN do it. You CAN over come!
