I wasn’t going to post anything but we see how that worked out! I’ll try to keep it short & simple!
I’ve never understood (nor will I) the mass hysteria that occurs when hurricanes come, diseases, etc…
Hysteria:
exaggerated or uncontrollable emotion or excitement, especially among a group of people.
The masses are in a panic over coronavirus but meanwhile daily countless people die of heart attacks, obesity, suicide, cancer, etc. etc. etc. and yet no mass hysteria there.
Along comes a new disease and all of sudden people need to be told (and taught lol) how to wash their hands?!
Seriously, I think I learned how to do that at about 2, so 50 yrs later I’m still capable of doing that.
I have to laugh (that’s all one can do) at the craziness of people hoarding toilet paper and other basic items they should have on hand anyhow… (I mean seriously, aren’t tp, soap, cleaning items normal daily use items? or are y’all just a bunch of filthy people?)
I see people in various facebook groups getting hazmat suits, end of times gas masks, etc. and are basically going to live in a bubble til the hysteria dies down and I sure as hell hope the stores do NOT allow returns on the 10 cases of hand sanitizers y’all buy…just like during hurricane prep everyone hoards water, canned food and then after nothing happens they return to the store…I call bs on that…you want it, you bought it, you deal with it!
As for me, I’m out enjoying life, kissing/hugging/shaking hands with my friends and clients and living life.
You can’t live in fear (well you can, but what fun is that?)
Reality is this, we’re all going to die of something one day so enjoy your life in the here and now.
Be smart, use common sense (like the how to’s of personal hygiene should not have to be on the news!), and if you have pre-existing conditions- again use common sense… and forego all the computer commando experts who suddenly know everything (from behind a screen)… be it environmental, political or disease control… everyone’s a google expert during a so called crisis!
point is use common sense but again, common sense isn’t so common anymore especially since we insist on dummy-ing down things…
grow up, think for yourselves, don’t fall into the media hysteria and go live your life!
