I’m sorry but I’ve never comprehended the attitude of one having to “put on their face” before letting others see them.
The past few days, I’ve noticed more and more women on Facebook and Twitter talking about how they won’t leave their house without makeup or
how a true friend loves them even without their makeup on! That should go without saying…really! I know my friends like me no matter what I’m wearing, how my hair is or whatever.
I had a woman today DM me via Facebook lashing out at me because I don’t wear makeup, and telling me about the Afterpay for Estee Lauder options.
Ummm really?! of all the things I do and say online, that’s what bothered her?! Wow!
But, apparently to some they simply will not be seen without makeup and expect everyone else to wear it as well.
HUH?!
Seriously?

Now, for those of you who’ve known me for at least the last 5 years know that I used to own a mineral makeup company.
Those that were close to me knew part of the reason I started it was as a joke…
(the other part was to provide women with mineral makeup that was natural and affordable)
But, it was also to prove that one can run a successful business offering a product/service they don’t use themselves.
And, I did just that for 4 years before I sold it last summer!
Yet, I never wore the makeup.
Had no desire to.
Didn’t make me any less of a woman.
I just don’t see the need in slathering goop (be it liquid makeup or mineral makeup) all over my face.
I prefer being me…just Tara.
What you see is what you get.
And, for those who think all men insist on makeup…
wrong…
In this month’s issue of Cosmo(and yes I actually get that magazine because I was using them for people doing the Inspiration Boards! LOL), look what Paul Walker (yes the hottie from Fast & Furious and other movies) has to say:
Now, to each her own…
If you feel the need to put on your face before anyone sees you, that’s your business.
But, while I don’t ridicule you for wasting goodness knows how long doing that,
you probably shouldn’t chastise those of us who opt to not wear makeup and can be ready to go out the door in under 3 minutes.
