you get a boot leg dvd?
burn a cd?
burn a dvd for someone from one you have?
use graphics you find online?
Do you consider those things stealing?
I know the FBI does.
“Warning: The unauthorized reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal. Criminal copyright infringement, including infringement without monetary gain, is investigated by the FBI and is punishable by up to five years in federal prison and a fine of $250,000.”
I know that I personally have an issue with it….
but, is it just me that feels this way or??
I do not own any boot leg dvd’s, or cd’s
I don’t swipe images/graphics from Google to use on my site (all mine are either taken by me personally or public domain, free rights or I pay a designer)
I actually pay for music downloads
Now, mind you I’m not holier than thou
I do my share of wrong things (ie: speeding is my biggest fault and trust me I pay my dues on that one-just ask my former lawyer and the Clerk of Court!)
Now, I know the FBI isn’t going to come busting down your door if you have a burned dvd, but still…
it’s the principle of the matter.
I’ve had friends who know I am a Beachbody Coach and need to make a living to support myself and my daughter, ask if I’ll “burn them a dvd” of one of our workout programs!
WHAT?!!!!
NO!
and then they get mad at me
they say it’s no big deal
Okay, to me it is a big deal…it’s wrong and it takes money out of my pocket as well as the companies, trainers, everyone involved in the making of the program.
Why would I do that?
Oh, so you can save yourself $80 or whatever?
C’mon
Please stop and think about all the people down the line that are affected when you make such a request.
Would you want people taking money from your pocket?
Didn’t think so…
