The waterproof SPIbelt is a must have for any runner (or anyone really who does anything outside and needs to take their keys, phone, etc. with them).
The company also offers regular SPIbelts in a variety of colors, as well as dual pocket ones and racing SPIbelts too.
You can make any of them water-resistant by adding the LOKSAK bag.
The LOKSAK® bags are resealable element-proof storage bags featuring a hermetic seal. That means absolutely no water, air, dust or humidity permeates the closure. They are designed for a wide range of applications and environments. The transparent bags are flexible and puncture resistant. Certified waterproof to 200 feet. Ecologically smart. Highly reusable and 100% made of recyclable Polyethylene. Each bag is 4.5″ X 7″.
I, of course, being the eco’ lovin one appreciated the fact that they’re reusable and 100% made of recyclable materials.
The design is sleek and can it expand! I was amazed at how much stuff really can fit in the SPIbelt!
I could easily fit my phone and keys in here and plenty of room for anything else I may have needed.
It’s so easy, just put your belongings in the LOKSAK bag and then put it in the SPIbelt, zip it up and go!
One of the best features, it doesn’t slide down while you’re running.
You know that feeling that you have with other belts…as you run, they’re slipping and sliding, falling down, moving around…not the case with SPIbelt!
It stays where you put it.
(again my apologies about pic quality-but it’s near impossible for me to get a decent lighted picture at 5 a.m. in my bathroom of myself!)
So, once you have your SPIbelt on, you’re ready to hit the road…even a wet rainy one!
Now, if I’d get serious and train, instead of jogging/running then I’ll have need for the SPIbelt energy belt!
Meanwhile, here’s more about how SPIbelt came into being!
The Beginning: No doubt we are the original small personal item belt (SPIbelt). I invented the SPIbelt fall of 2006, filed the patent shortly after, and incorporated 2007.
How: Founder, Kim Overton, was out on a run one day, keys tucked into her bra top, and thought, “there’s gotta be a better way!”. She went home that night and sewed the very first ever SPIbelt. Year one the company operated out of her apartment and eventually moved into a warehouse where the manufacturing continues.
Don’t be fooled by imitators – just look for the SPIbelt™ label inside the belt for authenticity. We are the creators of the Original Small Personal Item Belt™, etc. 2007.
I know that I love mine and the fact that it’s water-resistant is a huge plus since right now is the rainy season (yes, South FL summers bite–it rains every afternoon and a lot of mornings too). I don’t have to worry about my phone getting wet or damaged now. No more threading my house key through my shoe lace, then having to take my shoe off to get back in the door after a run! I love my SPIbelt.
If you’re a runner, biker, do anything where you need to carry phone, keys, etc. and don’t want to worry about losing them this is the way to go.
