Taking Responsibility …Quit The Blame Game

I tweeted last night saying I’d NOT get on my soapbox…
that was last night
this is today!

Honestly tired of hearing people trash and blame others for their mistakes, actions, whatever…

Anyone know the definition of responsibility?
If not here:
Responsibility: the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management.
Responsible: answerable or accountable, as for something within one’s power, control, or management

If I do something stupid on the road and get pulled over
(and we all know that’s happened to me…)
then I have nobody to be upset with other than myself
it’s not the cops fault
they’re doing their job
so why do so many people get pissed off when they’re pulled over?
(cuz’ they got caught doing something they shouldn’t be doing)
take responsibility for your actions people!

Ditto with the whole argument over fast/junk food and blaming companies when you gain weight.
Nobody is force feeding you.
If you eat junk, that’s on you…
not the company or restaurant.

I’m going to end this before I go into a long tangent that y’all won’t read anyhow
but seriously…
take responsibility for your actions
and quit the blame game!

I can’t stand it when people don’t take responsibility. Suck it up and take your punishment. I unfollowed someone from fb that I’d known forever (not a friend now) who complained about getting pulled over and a ticket because she started going 50 before the speed limit sign. I just about came unglued but knew it wasn’t worth it.

The spot she’s talking about is in front of the senior community that most of my seniors live in that attend my fitness class. They have to pull out onto that hiway. THERE’S A REASON WHY IT’S NOT 50 THERE! No, it’s not just a speed trap to bust dumbasses, it’s to save lives.

I felt much better when I clicked unfriend than I would have getting into an argument. We both know you can’t win an argument with ignorant people.

Tara, You are so on target ! Steven ps- its been 15+ years since I’ve been to a ‘fast food’ place and I feel all the better for it … though there’s a BK by me, and if you catch the red light around lunch time- damm, it smells so good

Val, we all know I get pulled over for speeding and it’s my fault…cant blame anyone but myself…yet I see so many people whine/bitch about getting tickets…well YEA speed, do something stupid you’re going to get one…geeeez…and mine are always on wide open highway!
