Posted by Tara Burner 9 comments

So, you’re craving a banana split…
but want to stay on the healthy side…
enjoy these easy to make goodies.

What you need:
Toothpicks
banana
pineapple
strawberry
chocolate candy melts, chocolate chips or carob chips

What you do
Slice strawberries in half
Cut banana into slices
Cut pineapple into chunks

Skewer a slice of each fruit onto the toothpick.

Melt the chocolate melts (if using chocolate chips or carob chips you may want to add a little bit of coconut oil to have it melt smoother)
Dip the fruit into the melted chocolate (or spoon melted chocolate over one side of the fruit)
Place in refrigerator til set

and enjoy…

Question of the day
what’s your favorite fruit or ice cream flavor?

Oh, what a great recipe! So easy! My favorite ice cream flavor? Um, I’m sort of an ice cream fiend…the question should probably be what flavor don’t I like (which I’m still not sure if there is one). My faves would probably be cookies and cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate mint, and Breyer’s vanilla bean. We have a carnival close by that makes the best homemade ice cream (it’s actually next week, yay!) and I adore their cookies and cream, peanut butter, and teaberry. I’m vegan, but I make exceptions 😉
