Prayer for the Planet
My actions benefit my environment and all of planet earth.
Planet earth is my home, and I am committed to its care. In gratitude, I acknowledge the gift I’ve been given and accept my responsibility to care for it.
The earth and all its bounty are divinely created and sustained. Deeply grateful for both bounty and balance, I realize that planet earth is a gift from God for all people of the world—in the past, now, and for generations to come.
I am mindful of the impact my actions have upon the environment, and my intention is to nurture and sustain earth. My choices are informed, so I apply ways of using less energy and producing less waste. I plant trees for the enjoyment of future generations. I pray that my actions are always ones that benefit this place I call home.
